Medicare Advantage Plan Changes in Vermont (2026)

Medicare Advantage plans are ending in Vermont on December 31, 2025. If your plan is affected, you will receive an official notice from your insurance company and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services).

What you need to know:

• Your coverage will continue through the end of 2025.
• You’ll have special enrollment rights to choose new coverage.
• Options include returning to Original Medicare and purchasing a Medigap plan.
• Key deadlines:
• Oct 15 – Dec 7, 2025: Medicare Annual Enrollment Period
• Until March 4, 2026: Guaranteed issue period for Medigap
