Announcement From The Board

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Mountain Community Health’s new CEO, Dr. Heidi S. Melbostad.

Heidi brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in the healthcare sector. She is
known for her passion for community health and patient-centered care and is poised to lead MCH into its
next phase of growth and innovation.

The Board was impressed by her proven savvy in dealing with difficult issues and navigating complex
community and staff relationships. She is eager to lead and collaborate with MCH staff who have made a
commitment to support their community by working at a non-profit community health center.

“I am honored and excited to join Mountain Community Health,” said Heidi. “I look forward to working
with the talented team here to continue the mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services to our
community.”

Since 2021, Heidi has been the Director of the Howard Center’s Chittenden Clinic in Burlington, Vermont,
where she directed a large opioid treatment program. During her tenure, she developed and implemented
strategic goals and formed strong relationships with community partners. At the same time, she served as a research assistant professor at the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health at the University of Vermont.

Heidi is an alumna of Kenyon College where she studied psychology, neuroscience, and sociology. She has a Master’s degree from San Francisco State University in clinical psychology and a Ph.D. from the University of Vermont in General/Experimental Psychology.

We are excited to welcome Heidi on June 24th as she officially begins her new role at MCH.
